Questions & Answers

1.Is the installation of the glass walls included?

Our concept is based on the customer assembling the walls/doors for the most cost-effective solution possible. Many of our customers perform the assembly themselves without the need for craftsmen, as the process is straightforward. Manuals are available on the website under each product and are also included in the product package. In cases where the work requires opening up the room, the dimensions are not exact, or if prior knowledge is lacking, some of our customers have contacted local craftsmen in their area.

2. Tempered safety glass in all walls and doors - what does it mean?

Tempered safety glass is a type of glass that has undergone a special heat treatment process to enhance its strength and safety properties. The process involves heating the glass to high temperatures followed by rapid cooling. This creates internal tensions that give the glass increased resistance to impact, pressure, and temperature changes.

Tempered safety glass is significantly stronger than regular glass of the same thickness. If it breaks, it shatters into small, granular pieces instead of sharp, cutting fragments like regular glass. This reduces the risk of injury in the event of breakage, thereby enhancing safety. This type of glass is often used in situations where safety and durability are crucial.

Laminated safety glass, which is used in our sliding doors, is a type of glass consisting of two or more glass sheets bonded together with a transparent plastic film (polyvinyl butyral or PVB) between them. This plastic film acts as a binder and holds the glass together if it breaks.

The frames are made of aluminum with a lifelong durability, and the glass is tempered clear safety glass. In our sliding doors, it is also laminated and lined (optional). Our products are therefore extremely durable over time and are certified according to European standards and CE-marked.

3. Are the glasses soundproof?

The glasses are soundproof and reduce more than 30 dB.

A value of more than 30 dB indicates that the glass has good sound insulation and can reduce the noise level by more than 30 decibels when sound passes through the glass.

To put this in perspective:

  • Low values (e.g., under 25 dB): Allow relatively much sound to pass through, suitable for areas where strong sound isolation is not necessary.
  • Medium values (25-35 dB): Provide a moderate level of sound insulation and are suitable for most residential and office environments where some isolation from surrounding noise is desirable.
  • A value of more than 30 dB indicates that the glass has a good ability to reduce the noise level and may be suitable for areas where it is important to minimize the transmission of sound.

Our partitions have been sold to various environments precisely for their sound-reducing properties. They have been used in private homes as well as in real estate offices, hair salons, and different conference spaces where reducing noise while maintaining natural light is desirable.

4. Is the glass and muntin pre-assembled?

The glass in our doors and walls comes in one piece and is mounted in the frame. The muntins are continuous and present on both sides. These are also pre-mounted.

Can you combine three and six panes?

The appearance differs between the doors and walls. For 50, 60, 70, 80 cm width in our walls and doors, there are three windows, while 90, 100 cm have six windows. The vertical muntin is not present on the narrower widths.

However, you can combine three with six panes and achieve a symmetrical and elegant result. They align perfectly and create a harmonious impression.
